Come hear the incredible Barby CelticWarrior  (aka CelticMaidenWarrior Lancaster) perform live on the SpotON3D Web World!  Her concert is Sunday, March 3, starting at 1pm Pacific time at the Flamingo Beach Rock Stage.

The stage can be found in SpotON3D at http://3Durl.com/map/ veesome/lambda/213/188/28.

A Great Performer with an Amazing Background
Barby is a seasoned performer who has been pleasing audiences for three years in Second Life as CelticMaidenWarrior Lancaster, and now brings her awesome talent to SpotON3D! She plays all your old favorites from America, Eagles, Carole King, Carly Simon, Van Morrison....etc, etc. She knows 2001 tunes, and if she can't do the song you request, she is sure to be able to substitute one you won't be disappointed in. She even learns songs that her fans have requested she learn.

Celtic taught herself to play the guitar in 1971 when she was 13 years old. Her first performance was at an 8th grade talent contest, for which she sang Kris Kristofferson’s “Me and Bobby McGee”. She spent her teen years in the middle of her bed with her John Denver song books. When she left home to join the Air Force, she married and quickly started a family which left little time for guitar playing. During the mid 1980’s she found comfort in performing worship music for her mission church in Okinawa, Japan, as well as singing in a contemporary Christian band which toured around the island. She performed in the USOs for American Military servicemen and their families. Celtic has also broadcast live on Japanese radio from the Okinawa Zoo, and Botanical Gardens. She traveled to the Philippines and performed for 5000 people in a dilapidated athletic auditorium, and traveled around the barrios sharing music with the local people. Now Celtic is playing everything from folk to classic rock and easy listening, and rounds it off with traditional Celtic ballads (which she does acapella).

New Exhibit at the SVM Gallery!

In case you didn't realize it (and chances are you didn't), we have an actual art/photography gallery in SpotON3D!  It's the SVM Gallery, being developed by one of our residents, Riley Hope, and can be found on the Mag Mell sim.

For Windows users, click the link below to be transported directly to the SVM Gallery!
Simply sign in using your SpotON3D avatar name and password. If you have never been to SpotON3D before, you will be directed to a screen where you can set up your account - a very quick and painless process.

Riley's latest endeavor is a photo exhibition by Melusina Parkin, entitled "Found in the Attic." The photos are of images which Melusina has taken in Second Life™, then adjusted through various photographic techniques, ending up with images that have a very retro feel.  The photos are of avatars in various settings, and are very well done.  They are in done in sepia tones, and are displayed on boards located in the center of the 5th floor gallery.

Along the outer walls of the gallery, you will see more of Melusina's work, this time in more of an architectural Art Deco style.  She presents the  geometric shapes of buildings in a very pleasing way, and they are equally as fascinating.

While you're exploring, be sure to visit the other four floors of the SVM Gallery.  There's a teleporter located inconspicuously at the left-hand side of the large window.  Yes, the gallery floors all have a nice seaside view, and the lower two floors have an underwater view!

Windows users can use the button near the top of this post to come directly into the gallery from your Web page.  (Unfortunately, our Web portal does not currently support Macs or Linux systems.) You can also register on our Web site at https://spoton3d.com/register/, then download our standalone viewer, which supports all operating systems. Once you are logged into the SpotON3D Web world, you can click on the following link to get there:

We decided to do rolling restarts first ...

We expect the rolling restarts to be done in about another 30 -40 minutes for those whose Sim name starts above the letter "L". After that we'll announce when we'll be restarting the servers themselves. Sorry for the confusion and we appreciate your patience.

Emergency Maintenance

Due to some weirdness in a couple of new sims our server admins advised us to restart our servers. We'll be back in in about 10-30 minutes if all goes as expected. If not, keep your eyes here to check out the forecast.
